East Texas Cabins

The Piney Woods of East Texas is just a short two hour drive from Dallas. The area is heavily wooded and has many tall pine trees. It is a great area to explore, relax and get away from the fast pace of the big city. This is a view from the right side of the cabin and this log cabin is located in the Holly Lake Ranch community just north of Tyler and Hawkins. My son and I recently stayed at this nice East Texas Cabin Rental for a fun weekend getaway. It has a nice living, dining, kitchen area, two bedrooms and one and half baths. Oregon Beach House

This beach house or beach cabin sits high up on the hill, nestled in the pines and has a beautiful view of Roads End Beach in Oregon. Enjoy a relaxing walk on the beach as you watch the waves come rolling in. While it may be hot in other places during the summer, the Oregon coast is normally a comfortable 60-70 degrees F even in July. There are many beach houses, cabins and cottages that are available for rent year-round.

Hugo Lake State Park has sixteen resort cabins for rent and ten primitive cabin rentals. The resort cabins have two bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen, dining area and living room with a fireplace. Each has a large deck with a wonderful view of the lake. This is a great spot for a relaxing getaway on the lake!

Lake Murray State Park is located just south of Ardmore, Oklahoma about 2 hours from Dallas. Its a beautiful lake, offering a wide range of activities. They have campsites for tents or RVs, but there are also many cabins to rent, of various sizes and a lodge to stay in. We rented a Chalet Cottage, which was just right for our father and son ATV trip.

Cabins at Petit Jean State Park

Petit Jean State Park is a beautiful park in north central Arkansas. It has large pine trees, water falls, scenic bluffs, caves and some wonderful hiking trails. There are many campsites here, but they also have cabins to rent and even a lodge and restaurant here.

Cabin at Mueller State Park

Mueller State Park is located northwest of Pike's Peak and is probably one of the nicest parks that I have visited. It is heavilly wooded with a mix of Aspen and Ponderosa Pines and has incredible mountain views throughout the park.

In addition to the many camping opportunities, there are several very nice log cabin rentals to choose from. Here is a picture of one of them.

Cripple Creek Cabin

This was a recent cabin rental that we really enjoyed. The cabin is managed by Colorado Mountain Cabins and it is located at about 8900 foot elevation a few miles north of Cripple Creek, Colorado. If you are interesting in the old west and mining history there is tons of old mining history in this area, along with a very large active mining operation. Arkansas Cabin Rentals

Arkansas Cabins - There are many cabins to choose from in the beautiful state of Arkansas. A new favorite of ours is RiverView Cabins and Canoes located just east of Mena in the town of Oden. There are twelve cabins surrounded by over one hundred acres of wooded, hilly property located along the Ouachita River. The property is very nicely kept and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The cabins range from extra small to large. Many of them have sleeping lofts and decks equipped with hot tubs. There is even a bunkhouse that sleeps sixty people to accommodate large groups.
